In a typewritten letter dated 13 March 1967 to Mr. Piehler, Ayrton responds to an inquiry about a reference to Karl Baedeker. He relates that he published an article in Punch on the themes of originality and immortality, and Baedeker liked the piece and sent a complementary copy of his guide to Austria as a token of appreciation.
